ATNS: SUSTAINABILITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE (SCC) AWARENESS TRAINING
La Terra was appointed by ATNS to develop training material and conduct SCC awareness training for ATNS employees. A two phased approach was used in implementing the project. Phase 1 comprised the following:
o Development of training material by La Terra;
o Training of EXCO Members;
o Training of MANCOM Members;
o Training of Head Office Employees;
o Training of ATA;
o Training of ATNS – George International Airport;
o Training of ATNS – Cape Town International Airport.
Phase 2 focused on all the remaining ATNS centres across the country. The target was to train 50% of the employees at the various centres. Phase 2 comprised the following:
o OR Tambo International Airport;
o Lanseria International Airport;
o Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport;
o Wonderboom Airport;
o Rand Airport;
o Polokwane International Airport;
o Mafikeng International Airport;
o Pilansberg International Airport;
o Grand Central Airport;
o Bloemfontein International Airport;
o Kimberley International Airport;
o Upington International Airport;
o King Shaka International Airport;
o Pietermaritzburg International Airport;
o Virginia Airport;
o Port Elizabeth International Airport;
o Bisho Airport.
o East London International Airport; and
o Umthatha International Airport.
La Terra trained a total number of 749 ATNS Staff.
